The brief for the This Is Travel logo and branding design required that blue was retained as the key colour, but that the brand itself should nonetheless remain a stand-out in a crowded marketplace, feel fresh and modern and appeal to a broad demographic.
The solution was in using clean sans-serif fonts, a bright, almost cyan blue that would have considerable cut-through on web pages (the primary presence for the brand) and to match the blue with a vibrant lime green as its secondary colour, avoiding cliched oranges and warm yellows to bring a dynamic, fresh and eye-catching colour set to all products and services.
The look was completed by adding vector background imagery in a cross-gradient style; the primary treatment being the palm leaves that sit behind the main logo.
